once again, that isn't the finished product and I rode it hard all season just fine with it welded and it hasn't come apart yet. I popped out the rivet and welded that shut and did 2 more passes over it.

S54 is from the E46 ;) and yes, i believe the ///M has reinforced rear subframes and a couple other things like the E36 M3

Yeah... go with what the tuner is comfortable with. Plus if he recommends something and ends up blowing your motor you can say... hey... you picked it.

good luck. I'm hoping to get mine in to GST pretty soon here for an update.
